Similars

I apologize that I find it necessary to repost this. I edited and added more clarifying content to help the reader better understand my point. It’s what happens when I don’t let a post simmer in the editor for some time for added flavor.

“Automaton, robot, drone, AI, clone, android, cyborg, robotic machine, cybernetic organism, huma-droid, programmable machine, mechanical person –

Nope, I can’t find even one among all your saints of Salvation on the whole earth, Lord!”

“Well done, Gabriel, My faithful messenger. Neither will you ever.”

Some are different from all

Some are different from each other

Some are different in relationship

Some see their Savior from personal eyes

Some have the same experiences

Some interpret experiences differently

Some speak different languages

Somehow they communicate.

Some know it’s by God’s loving grace alone

Some know they love the same Savior

Some know they are the same but personal to the Savior

Some know they are the same, but individual to the Savior

Some know they are the same, but individual, and loved by the Savior

Some know they are the same, but individual, and personally loved by the Savior

Some know Christ alone

Christians are the same but different.

~G.W.

Song of Solomon 4:12

“A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse, A spring shut up, A fountain sealed.”

My friends and no other person on earth can know the customized and personal intimacy with Christ the Lord each of us possesses by His decree and design. Not even another believer.

If we can grasp the depth of what this means, we will better understand the intense signature love we have in the eyes and heart of Christ Jesus, our Savior.

Assembly line, cookie-cutter Christians do not exist. Christian behavior may be copied but not duplicated. Nobody can dance to the rhythm of the music, but they who hear the Master’s song.

For more on the unique facet of personal relationship each of us has with our Savior, see this post of five years past. Here:  A Garden Enclosed, Secret and Personal

  1. This is beautiful G.W. Thank you so much for writing and sharing! Too often I compare my walk with the Lord to that of others and suffer from a sense that I’ve fallen short. The enemy loves to shoot those nasty arrows of discouragement. The words that shone the brightest for me were- “No other person on earth can know the customized and personal intimacy with Christ the Lord each of us possesses by His decree and design. Not even another believer. If we can grasp the depth of what this means, we will better understand the intense signature love we have in the eyes and heart of Christ Jesus, our Savior.” Oh the gratitude that overflows my heart for our Savior as I allow this to sink in.

    1. Thank you so much, Beth! It is often a struggle for me to remember this, too. I guess that’s the reason I found it difficult to find the right words to clarify the intent of my meaning. I’m so glad it resonated with you!
May the Lord bless you richly!

    1. Thank you, Gary.
I don’t know if I posted this for other’s, or for a reminder to myself, that being different is how God designed His relationship with each of us.
I guess we all need such a reminder at times.

  2. AMEN, G. W. I shouldn’t expect my walk with God to be just like someone else’s. Like Paul said, “To each the Spirit is manifested for the common good.”
There is one God, one Savior, and one Faith, but how this is expressed is as individual as our figure prints. Gods best to you.
