Dysphoria

A piece of driftwood washed up onto the shores of my memory

from a far-away sea of many. Odd how one little wave carrying a small

scrap can ring chimes across a vast ocean’s surface to so far off lands of

time.

Now all the earth is

Bright and glad with

Fresh flush of morn.

But all my heart is cold,

And dark and sad:

Sun of the soul let

me behold your dawn.

Come, Jesus, Lord,

Praying You quickly come,

According to your word.

What weather is coming for the Church?

Are the dark clouds lowering?

Let us observe the signs of the times

And prepare for conflict hovering.

When will the day dawn,

And shadows fade away?

Jesus, if You come not in person

To Your waiting Church this day,

Yet come in Spirit to my sighing heart,

And make it sing for joy.

Amen.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Let your gentleness be evident to all.

The Lord is near.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,

by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” ~Philippians 4:4-7

  1. Dysphoria, I resemble that as well. Even the weather seems to be stressed. A timely and true piece G.W.
May many seek and find God’s peace in all this upheaval and . May the church (God’s People) be ready and not so distracted.
