Fear can be based on real or imaginary danger. It doesn’t care which. Fear itself does more damage than any real danger that may appear on the horizon. I’m no stranger to fear. I suspect you’re not either.
As we travel this stormy sea
Let us remember, both you and me,
Savior said time would come to be
Fiery gales of fear induced, intercede.
Attacks by land, attacks by fetid air,
Strikes from before and behind,
Chaos seeming to slither everywhere,
Ropes bound to bind, darkness to blind.
But God! My peace to you I give,
Not as the world gives, behold! I live.
Lightning flashes far and near clearing woeful fear,
Savior’s song whispers, Behold! I Am both near and here!
Ships find a berth in safe ports.
My heart’s harbor is found only in
Safety of the Savior’s depths.
The deep, deep love of Jesus.

The Peace of Christ be with you.
‘You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth,
And called from its farthest regions,
And said to you,
‘You are My servant,
I have chosen you and have not cast you away:
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:9-10
