This day, also. Another day. Follow, listen, grasp for, hear, see, watch. His light shines. For you. For me. See His movement between the dark trees? In and out of the shadows? Look above. That’s not the moon shining. It’s way too bright! Movement like a radiant breeze. Follow Him. There is safety in the Light. There is power in that Light.
haiku #8_ Cry out
Cry out for light
But all is deeper darkness
Shine, Jesus, Shine.
G.W.
So justice is far from us,
and righteousness does not reach us.
We look for light, but all is darkness;
for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows.
Like the blind we grope along the wall ~(Isaiah 59: 9-10)
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying,
“I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness,
but will have the light of life.” ~(John 8:12)
Amen!

Well written GW! As I read both your opening segment and your haiku I found myself thinking of the words to Isaiah 60: 1-2 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you.” What a delight to reach the end and find your reference to Isaiah 59. Thank you Lord Jesus for being our Light in the darkness.

Thank you, Beth. Isaiah 60: 1-2 has been a longtime favorite verse of mine, folding it into the gospels in so many places when I was teaching. I happen to have the opinion it applies to our near future also, as I observe the world around us and the direction thereof.
Yes, thank you Lord, for Your great faithfulness of never withdrawing Your Light from Your people.
Blessings to you, Beth!

Well done. I like the thought about staying stubbornly on the narrow way. Send the light, Lord!

Bravo! You were indeed meant to be a poet. If only we could all put much meaning into only a few words.
