Questions Unasked

Questions Unasked

Whispers of that other realm

So near, so far

Questions gone unanswered

Answers of dubious substance

Speculations

Ruminate

Opinionations

Germinate

Terminated questions

Questions to be answered

But not to fulminate

Neither will He tolerate

Sincere questions unasked.

Some Reflection

When words have increased value with less meaning. When false answers are more important than honest questions. When the query is silenced or lead astray. When this happens truth is masked, buried, declared at enmity with the hidden lie.

Truth stands alone. It will not go away.

Truth has many debtors.

Those debts will surely be called to account.

But how often is it recognized when the immediate answer is less important than the question?

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

Eventually. All answers don’t come cascading down like a gushing mountain river in the springtime. The Savior likes hearing from us. Even when we keep revisiting the same questions before Him.

It has been my humble experience on occasion, that He waited until I discovered the real question I had was being masked — by me. Those are precious moments of double enlightenment. He enlightened me to my truer problem, as well as imparted the answer in a way that made it crystal clear. That’s listed under “experiences that make me dance and sing.”

Our questions are important. Our queries are worthy. When answered, the response should be examined, taken to heart, and acted upon. Until that time, let us be careful not to make up our own answers to fill the gap.

Eclectics in renderings, prose and poetry, rhyme and free verse. More info available in 'About Me' in my 'Hiding in Plain Site.' There is a small square box with three little dots inside, on the upper right hand side of every blog posted page,at the right side of title banner. Click on those dots to take you to a "hidden" site page with more info provided by me, including "follow" button and "About me." (I didn't design this.It came as-is). Also, WP has a mandatory banner at the bottom of the screen about privacy and cookies policy that blocks the visibility of a "follow" button that pops up under a "close and accept' of the privacy agreement. You must click the 'close and accept' to see the follow button. Things are becoming more complicated to navigation with hidden activations and complex instructions.

  1. Well my friend, I’m thinking on these things. I am in that place where I almost have deep questions. They at the intersection of pondering and searching (with my whole heart). The good news is my quizzical stage is not borne of doubt but of trust. You realize you are alluding to depths not alluded to.

    1. “Alluding to depths not alluded to.” Interesting concept as put in that way.
Any question we come up with that keeps us thinking about the things of God is a good thing. And we need remember it takes a move of the Spirit of God to direct our vision past the shallow to the profound.
Thank you, my friend, it’s a good point.
