I can do no less than my very best, standing amid each test. Welcoming every sunrise with renewed vigor, greeting each sunset on the wings of eagles the Savior sends to carry me further — homeward bound and His rest in His time. May I truly make You smile on my way.
You are this light in my darkness,
Look through my shining eyes;
You put this passion here.
Look at my opened firm hands;
You unclenched, strengthened them.
See my posture unyielding, steely straight;
You reinforced me, this unwavering rod of titanium.
See the smile on my lips;
You etched this ascending arc of sure hope here.
Hear the bellows of my laughter;
You infused me with joy and humor.
Do You see my mind progress?
You planted the seed of truth to grow.
Do you see my heart beating for You?
You made it tender, complete, anew.
Do You see You are my God?
Rhythm of my heartbeat, my Life.
You have apprehended, redeemed my soul;
You are my Savior, my life for You.

Loved this Brother G.W.! I love poetry, but have no knack for it at all so I get my joy from the gifts and creativity of others. Don’t know if I asked you before, but from time to time, would you mind if I reblogged any of your posts (especially the poetry)? Sometimes I see something like this one and I put the address in my file for when it adds to a theme I’m working on. I would love to add you to my roster of those who give their permission! God bless!
Oh by the way, no hard feelings if the answer is no. Still get joy out of the posts!!

Thank you, Brother Roland. You certainly may use anything I write that may be of use to you. I’m truly humbled that you would ask. Freely I was given and freely I so give. Thank you. God bless you!

I sure do like the concept , “apprehended” I think I was ambushed to be apprehended. Good thoughts G.W.

Ambushed is a good description too, Gary my friend. Ambushed and surprised by joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength, is it not so?

OH DEFINITLY YES! The Joy of the Lord knows no bounds and fuels unfettered strength. Another opposite: A broken person before God gains tremendous strength…Oh the joy of it all.
