The answer to all questions is ultimately, and truly the Savior, Jesus. Yesterday, today and forever. If that is not acceptable there remain a whole world of alternatives to choose from. All variants of the same lie. Must I make a choice? To make no choice is a choice. Choose wisely. Choose this very day. While it is called “today.”
Yesterday is in the past
Is in the future.
Today is a gift
It’s called the present.
Thought: How has the Savior brought you through all your yesterdays?
Consider: How has He changed that He may fail you through your tomorrows? Has His arm grown too short to reach you? Has He grown distracted by something more pressing? Let us laugh at ourselves for so human frailties of worried concerns. The Spirit of God both indwells the believer and hovers over us as He did the deep when He was forming the world. He was forming this world for us. How much more does He care for you and me? His eye is on the sparrow. How much more are we worth to Him in His eyes?
Do Not Be Anxious
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the worldlings seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
I pray that God sends helpers to guide you toward your destiny in Him. May he strengthen you and bring you the fulfillment of knowing Him in your life.
