Cross in the Sky

Forever

Cross in the Sky

Simple symbol

Eye of a disciple

Calling him home

Never alone

Transposed  mortal

Forever.

  • G.W.

And can it be that a term as overused as “forever” in the busy me of life becomes a vague concept? A filigree-shadow of mind? No. Not if viewed correctly. Forever with Christ the Lord of glory.

“I am proud of the good news! It is God’s powerful way of saving all people who have faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.” Romans 1:16 (CEV)

Eclectics in praise of the Savior. Renderings in prose and poetry, rhyme and free verse. More info available in 'About Me' in my 'Hiding in Plain Site.' There is a small square box with three little dots inside, on the upper right hand side of every blog posted page,at the right side of title banner. Click on those dots to take you to a "hidden" site page with more info provided by me, including "follow" button and "About me." (I didn't design this.It came as-is). Also, WP has a mandatory banner at the bottom of the screen about privacy and cookies policy that blocks the visibility of a "follow" button that pops up under a "close and accept' of the privacy agreement. You must click the 'close and accept' to see the follow button. Things are becoming more complicated to navigation with hidden activations and complex instructions.

    1. How often do we look up. Reminds me of the hunters story of the deer that keeps it’s head down grazing, never looking up is the one that gets shot. I used that story in sermon once.
BTW I found your comment in the spam bin. Why I’m late answering.
Thanks for dropping by. I like your stories and poems.

  1. Forever. Some daysI skate across the surface of the meaning of the cross and the hope of forever. Today at dads funeral I groped and grasped the edges of the cross in the sky and hugged the promises of God. Immense meaning and substance beyond our understanding. I suspect dad has insider information and understanding now. Thanks G.W.

    1. Thank you my friend. Sometimes I think the best we can do with the mysteries of God is just to recognize them, that they exist. We won’t know what they mean till we get there. While in this realm we have a full plate just understanding and doing what He has made known to us.
