Awakening – Re-Awakening – Ever Awakened

This excellent video has been out about five years and recently has been re-released in HQ. When I first viewed it I felt I was getting a quick review of my life’s walk with the Lord. From my first awakening even to the present day. All done through Interpretive Dance ministry.

It begins with the depiction of first having our spirit awakened by the Savior, His showing us His perspective of creation in a way that makes everything look brand new to us, along with our new recognition of His very real presence in our life.

Moving along to how the false idols and pleasures of the world begin seducing and enticing us to return to them, and the deep struggle this produces.

And finally His direct intervention to rescue us and overcome our foe to save us from our temptations and defeats in a dark world to see us safely home.-g.w.

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” (Eph. 1:18-19)

  1. As I read your description of the video, I pictured the Lifehouse skit. Then I looked at the link thumbnail and saw it was indeed that video I’ve seen so many times. It won’t let me play it for some reason, but that’s okay. It would make me cry anyway, as it always does. I last watched it with my oldest daughter a couple years ago. The more she cried, the more I cried, seeing her so broken over the recognition of herself in it. She has given her heart to Jesus and I am so grateful.

    1. Yes. It has the same effect on me each time I watch it. A few fellow pastors ask me to join them to review it before showing it in church some years ago all four of us were flowing with tears of recognition by the end. It has that much truth and feeling to it. I love re-watching it sometimes. I’m so glad it had that effect on your daughter that she came to the Lord! Bless her heart!!

          1. Amen! Just wanted to clarify so a story isn’t erroneously assumed by readers who might say “I read about someone who came to the Lord as a result of that video”, although others may well have heard His call while thinking on His love portrayed in that video.
