Many know, or have heard of, Joni Eareckson Tada. I was introduced to her story back about nineteen-eighty through her radio program, ‘Joni and Friends.’ A daily five-minute short talk by her of some wisdom and observations about many things, including scripture, but always pointing to the Lord. At seventeen years old she had a diving accident, awakened in the hospital a quadriplegic and has spent the past fifty years in a wheelchair and bed. But she developed an amazing ministry for the Lord through it all. Her life story can probably be acquired at any number of online book outlets.
Here, she is discussing, in an interview, suicide, assisted suicide and dark times that may enter in a person’s life that they think they may not want to go on. I know this is for some one out there, it’s appointed for somebody to see. Therefore I duly post, trusting in the Lord to direct. -g.w.
